England who got a 6-1 drubbing at home were written off as a non-entity in one day cricket but have been the revelation of the tournament. They first shocked Sri Lanka and yesterday sent the home team South Africa packing out of the tournament.
Will it be India’s turn today? India entered the tournament seeking to cement its place as the World’s No.1 team in one day cricket. But a defeat at the hands of Pakistan means that the India vs Australia match today at the Centurion will be a knock-out match for India. Australia might still get through even if they lose. Chances are that the team which wins today will be the team which makes it to the semi-final.
