The series stands at 1-1 after Sri Lanka bounced back in the 2nd one day in spite of a late challenge by the Indian bowlers to complete a succesful chase of a daunting total. But then they had shown their batting firepower even in the 1st one day where they narrowly missed completing a chase which would have been the second highest ever in the history of cricket.
Jayasurya is expected to return to the Sri Lanka XI for the 3rd One Day, and he has always been a danger man in India and against India. His slow left-arm spinners too can come handy on a slow Barabati wicket. India will sorely miss the services of their captain Dhoni. Sehwag will lead the team in his absence.
